The Augustine Institute, a leading provider of Catholic content, education, and digital resources, announces it has purchased the 284-acre former Boeing Leadership Center (BLC) in Florissant, MO. The Augustine Institute will begin transitioning its operations over the next few years, with its headquarters and Graduate School of Theology opening on the new campus in time for the fall 2024 semester.
The new home of the Augustine Institute is a 284-acre campus in Florissant, MO. The property has several amenities, including ample classroom space for the Graduate School of Theology, administrative offices for the staff of the Augustine Institute, four lodges with guest rooms to accommodate attendees at conferences and retreats, and a large dining area with windows overlooking the river bluffs along the Missouri River. Outdoor spaces offer opportunities for athletic recreation along with five miles of nature trails and four miles of paved paths ideal for quiet prayer and meditation.
Tim Gray
President of the Augustine Institute
Under Dr. Gray’s leadership, the Augustine Institute has established the largest Catholic graduate school of theology in the country. Dr. Gray has a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the Catholic University of America and is the author of several books, including Peter: Keys to Following Jesus and Praying Scripture for a Change: An Introduction to Lectio Divina.
“The purchase of the BLC offers an unprecedented opportunity to expand our Graduate School of Theology and further our mission to help Catholics understand, live, and share their faith. The BLC’s state-of-the-art facilities will transform the work of the Augustine Institute by allowing us to take our curriculum and resources beyond a digital interface, which already reaches millions around the world, into a national center for Catholic conferences, retreats, evangelization, and fellowship.”
